Privacy Policy

Effective September 20, 2026. Pylon is operated by Armaan Dave. This policy covers the Pylon app and website.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and authentication information. We store the profile details and photo you choose to provide. We also store your game logs, ratings, reviews, comments, lists, tags, favorites, follows, blocks, and reports.

Our hosting and authentication providers process technical information, such as IP addresses, request times, device or browser details, and error records, to run and secure the service. The website uses Vercel Analytics for aggregate website usage. The native iOS app does not include an advertising or analytics SDK.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, display your content, remember your preferences, calculate your stats and badges, maintain safety, answer support requests, and keep Pylon working. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

What other people can see

Your username, display name, bio, avatar, game logs, reviews, comments, ratings, favorites, follows, and public lists are public. Private lists are visible to their owner. Your email address, block list, and reports are not displayed publicly. Blocking limits signed-in interactions; it does not make public content private on the open web.

Service providers

We use Neon for database and authentication services, Vercel for hosting, and Cloudflare R2 for avatar storage. These providers process information to deliver their services and are subject to their applicable data-protection terms.

Service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Their privacy and security terms describe the safeguards for this processing.

Storage and deletion

We keep account information and content while your account exists, unless you remove it earlier. You can delete your account in Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This removes the authentication account, active sessions, profile, and associated content from our active database. Avatar cleanup normally starts immediately; retry cleanup can take up to 48 hours. An opaque file identifier remains only while cleanup is pending.

Provider-managed backups and operational records expire under each provider’s retention schedule. They are not used to restore your public profile. Information that must be retained by law may be kept for that purpose. Reports linked to a deleted account are removed with that account.

Your choices

You can browse without an account, edit your profile, remove your own content, choose private lists, block accounts, and delete your account. Photo selection is optional and uses the system photo picker. We do not request access to your contacts, microphone, or precise location. Local preferences and cached content remain on your device until cleared or removed.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information through our support page. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restrict processing, obtain a copy, or complain to a data-protection authority.

Children and changes

Pylon is not intended for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. We will update this page when our practices change and provide notice where required.
